Who I Am...
My name is Amber Turner. I wear many different hats; mommy, wife, teacher, sister, daughter, friend and more. I live and work in beautiful Nothern Michigan. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband, an amazing son and a beautiful daughter.
I enjoy most outdoor activities. My family and I spend a lot of time on our boat, floating in our canoe and fishing in the summer. In the winter we enjoy snowmobiling, snow shoeing and building snowmen. We pretty much enjoy any activity that allows us to enjoy the beauty of where we live. I am an avid runner and enjoy staying physically active.
I was born and raised in Northern Michigan and graduated from Suttons Bay Public Schools. From there I went on to attend community college at Northewestern Michigan College and transfered to Grand Valley State University to complete my bachelors degree. Upon completing that I attended Central Michigan University to earn a ZA Endoresement (Early Childhood Specialist) and currently am completing my Masters degree though Michigan State Unviversity.
I currently teach kindergarten at Glen Lake Elementary in Maple City which is about 30 minutes north west of Traverse City. I have worked at Glen Lake for 8 years. In that time I created both an afterschool program and a preschool program, have taught preschool, developmental kindergarten and kindergarten. I feel very blessed to work at Glen Lake and look forward to many more years there.
I hope this gives you a little more of an idea of who I am. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have. You can email me at [email protected] or complete the form below.
